Regional Grant Request

The University encourages volunteer-driven alumni engagement programming and events that support the Universityâs mission and priorities. Alumni volunteers seeking financial support for regional initiatives are encouraged to apply for grants to support such activities.Â Grant support will be considered for programs and events that promote alumni & student engagement, mission & ministry and philanthropy. In order to be considered for a grant, programming and events must target at least one of the three areas:

Alumni & Student Engagement: the opportunity for alumni as well as alumni & students within the Scranton community to engage and network with one another as a means of continuing the advancement of their career.
- Examples include: Regional Beyond the Commons dinners (Dinners with alumni speaking to current students), career networking receptions, faculty or alumni led forums/panels, book clubs

Mission & Ministry: programming provides alumni and students the opportunity to live our Catholic Jesuit ideals within our daily lives and communities.
- Examples include: Royal Day of Service(s), regional Mass gatherings, Ignatian reflection programs, mini-retreats and topical speakers

Philanthropy: collaborative efforts to advance the Universityâs mission and the Scranton student experience through fundraising activities.
- Examples include: Club giving challenges, promotion of reunion gift program, events/programs to support University campaigns and scholarships
